Voting is one of our most basic rights as American citizens; but in order to exercise that right you must be registered to vote!

Members of the Bellevue Alumnae Chapter Social Action committee took their campaign to Renton's Coulon Park on September 11 to enjoy some sisterly bonding and encourage individuals in the park to register to vote! In order to vote in the state of Washington, you must be:

bullet A citizen of the United States
bullet A legal resident of Washington state
bullet At least 18 years old by election day
 
 

The Bellevue Alumnae Chapter is an official voter Registrar

Remember

bullet You may sign up to vote at any time, but you must be registered at least 30 days in advance of an election if you wish to vote at a polling place on Election Day.
bullet You may also register IN PERSON no later than 15 days before an election. Contact your county auditor or elections department for more information.
bullet You may also register to vote when you renew or apply for your driver’s license.
 
 
  "It is the policy of the state of Washington to encourage every eligible person to register to vote and to participate fully in all elections and to protect the integrity of the electoral process by providing equal access to the process while guarding against discrimination and fraud." (Revised Code of Washington 29.04.001)
